The Steelers ask that media outlets assist in reminding the public that Sunday’s preseason home opener versus the Green Bay Packers has been moved to a 1 p.m. kickoff time, as announced on July 25.

The game was originally scheduled for 8 p.m. but was moved after the Pittsburgh Pirates announced their August 23 game vs. the San Francisco Giants would be played on Sunday Night Baseball.

The Steelers preseason home opener will be televised locally on KDKA-TV (Channel 2).

Pittsburgh Steelers will once again reward fans who arrive early on game days with free prizes and giveaways as part of the team’s 1st-IN-GOAL promotion, presented by Steelers Nation Unite. The first 25,000 fans to enter Heinz Field for Sunday’s preseason game vs. the Green Bay Packers will receive a scratch-off card revealing a prize.

The Steelers encourage fans to arrive early Sunday for a chance to win. This week’s partners and prizes include: FREE Pre-game field passes, FREE Pepsi in-stadium fountain drink, FREE Silverstar Super Hot Dog, FREE Stage AE concert tickets, FREE Andora Restaurant appetizer, FREE Nemacolin Woodlands Resorts and Spa Overnight stays, FREE Isaly’s Steel Town or Goal Line Sandwich, FREE GetGo coffee, FREE McDonald’s French Fries, or FREE Three Doors Down Back to Football concert tickets.
Kickoff for Sunday’s game is set for 1:00 p.m. and gates will open at 11:00 a.m. Scratch-off cards for the first 25,000 fans will be distributed at all gates, as well as suite and club entrances. The 1st-IN-GOAL promotion, in its fifth year, will continue throughout the 2015 season.
