The Pittsburgh Pirates selected the contract of outfielder Keon Broxton from Triple-A Indianapolis. To make room for Broxton on the 40-man roster, the club has placed infielder Jung Ho Kang on the 60-day disabled list.
Broxton, who has no prior big league experience, will wear uniform #60.
