  • Trinity School District Distributing 20,000 Grab and Go Meals Weekly

Since the start of the organization’s response to the COVID-19 crisis, Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank has provided more than 7 million pounds of food through various distribution channels.

In addition to the drive-up model, the Food Bank has launched a home delivery service (Doorstep Delivery), added 65 new member agencies through the COVID Community Organization program and has handed out Grab and Go meals through 19 managed sites.

Trinity School District in Washington County is serving more kids through their Grab ‘n Go meals than they typically serve when school is in session according to Nicolle Pleil, the district’s Food Service Director.
