The Steelers signed wide receiver Darrius Heyward-Bey to a one-year contract, the team announced today. Financial terms of the contract were not disclosed.
The seven-year pro enters his second season with the Steelers after signing with the team as an unrestricted free agent (from Indianapolis) in 2014. He was originally drafted by the Oakland Raiders in the first-round (seventh overall) of the 2009 NFL Draft.
Heyward-Bey has played in 88 regular season games with 65 starts and played in two postseason games. He has 172 receptions for 2,413 yards with 12 receiving touchdowns during the regular season.
