The Steelers have signed their first of two fifth-round selections, cornerback Shaquille Richardson, from the 2014 NFL Draft. Financial terms of the four-year deal were not disclosed.

Richardson (6-0, 194), who was the 157th overall pick, played collegiately at the University of Arizona. He started 37-of-49 games played, including all 13 as a senior. In his career, Richardson recorded 189 tackles (142 solo), eight tackles for loss, 10 interceptions, 131 interception return yards, 30 pass breakups, three forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.

The Steelers have now signed five of their nine selections from the 2014 NFL Draft.
