PITTSBURGH, PA (October 14, 2013) – The Pittsburgh Power will hold their 4th Annual Open Tryouts Sunday, November 3 at Southpointe Fieldhouse (104 Cecil Henderson Road) in Canonsburg, PA. Registration is from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. with the tryout period from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Each prospect will receive a professional evaluation by Power Head Coach Derek Stingley and other Arena Football League coaches, a Pittsburgh Power workout shirt and two tickets to the Power home opener in March, 2014 at CONSOL Energy Center. No kickers will be evaluated at the tryout.
Early registration is $50 per participant and can be completed online through November 1 at pittsburghpowerfootball.com. Day-of registration will also be available on November 3 for $75 (cash only). Participants are asked to wear appropriate football workout attire, including cleats, shorts and gloves.
Top performers from the tryouts will be invited to the 2nd Annual Pittsburgh Power Combine from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Southpointe Fieldhouse. AFL coaching staffs from the Power, Cleveland Gladiators, Tampa Bay Storm, San Antonio Talons and San Jose SaberCats will be on hand for both the tryouts and the invitation-only combine.
Since 2010, more than 600 prospective players have attended the Power’s Open Tryouts.
