The Arena Football League has awarded Pittsburgh Power wide receiver Prechae Rodriguez as its Week 14 Russell Athletic Offensive Player of the Week for his performance in the Power’s thrilling 57-56 win over the Philadelphia Soul.
“Big Play Prechae” lived up to his nickname to help lift Pittsburgh over their in-state rivals. Rodriguez hauled in 13 passes for 144 yards and five touchdowns. He became just the fifth player in Power franchise history to have five or more touchdown grabs in a game.
Rodriguez is third on the team with 50 receptions and 564 yards despite only playing in five games due to injury. Rodriguez’s 16 touchdown crack the Top 10 for receiving touchdowns in Power franchise history. He has scored multiple touchdowns in four of the five games that he has seen action in this season.
Rodriguez and the Power can clinch their first playoff berth in franchise history with a win over the Iowa Barnstormers this Friday. Kickoff from CONSOL Energy Center is set for 7:00 p.m. ET.
