The Pittsburgh Pirates today announced their 2015 Player Development staff. The announcement was made by Director
of Minor League Operations, Larry Broadway.
Dean Treanor will return to manage Triple-A Indianapolis for a fifth straight season after leading the Indians to a 73-71
record last year. Treanor won his 300th game as Indianapolis’ manager last year on July 20.
Tom Prince will take over Double-A Altoona after managing High-A Bradenton in 2014.
Michael Ryan will manage High-A Bradenton in 2015 after spending the 2014 campaign managing Single-A West Virginia.
Brian Esposito will manage the Single-A West Virginia Power. Last year Esposito managed Jamestown in the New York-
Penn League.
Wyatt Toregas will manage the West Virginia Black Bears in the New York-Penn League, who relocated from Jamestown
after 2014. This will be Toregas’ first managerial assignment after spending the previous two seasons as Pittsburgh’s Video
Advance Scout.
Milver Reyes will return to manage the Gulf Coast League Pirates for a third straight season.
Edgar Varela will return to manage the Bristol Pirates for a second straight season.
Mendy Lopez will manage Pittsburgh’s team at the Dominican Academy. Gera Alvarez will oversee the academy while
Dan Urbina, Osiel Flores, Greg Picart and Cecilio Beltre will serve as coaches in the Dominican Republic. -by Pirates PR Staff
