Jamey Carroll has joined the Pirates organization as a Special Assistant to the Baseball Operations staff.
A 12-year Major League veteran, Carroll was a member of Washington’s spring training roster last year. He began his big league career with Montreal in 2002 and made his last appearance in the Majors with Kansas City in 2013.
Carroll joins Kevin Young, also a Special Assistant to Baseball Operations, and Grady Little, Senior Advisor to Baseball Operations, who were added to the staff this off-season.
