This episode of the Food Podcast focuses on the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank’s Food Justice is social justice initiative. This initiative is intended to create awareness about social inequality, while educating the Food Bank’s service area of numerous organizations in the region that are focused on ending racism and creating equality for all.

This week the Food Podcast featured Jeremiah’s Place, a crisis nursery in the Pittsburgh area. “A crisis nursery is essentially an emergency childcare center. Pittsburgh didn’t have one til about 2014 when we opened our doors,” said acting director of Jeremiah’s Place Jordan Shoneburger.
