Empty Bowls, a collaboration between Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank and Just Harvest, will take place on Sunday, March 15 at Rodef Shalom on Fifth Avenue. The event consists of a simple meal of soup and bread to remind people of the one in eight residents of Allegheny County who are facing hunger.
The 25th anniversary of Empty Bowls features soup cooked by some of Pittsburgh’s top restaurants. Local celebrity soup servers, a silent auction of ceramic art and celebrity-autographed bowls, live music, children’s activities.
