Apple Castle Keeping Hunger Away

Steve Johnston, sixth generation owner of Apple Castle in New Wilmington, recently joined Brian Gulish on the Food Podcast to discuss his company’s commitment to support Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank’s mission of ending hunger in Southwestern Pennsylvania.

Apple Castle harvests approximately ten-thousand bushels of apples every year according to Johnston. At 100 apples per bushel, Johnston’s crop produces about one-million apples annually.
