The Pittsburgh Riverhounds will be participating in a charity function organized by the South Side Chamber of Commerce on Wednesday night to raise funds for the Susan G. Komen organization.
Hounds players will be acting as guest bartenders during the Drink for Pink 2015 event at Skybar (1601 E. Carson St.) between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. Simultaneous functions are being held by the Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership and the Oakland Business Improvement District with Dollar Bank providing sponsorship.
Patrons can enjoy pink cocktails and hors d’oeuvres while entering raffles for a chance to win prizes such as soccer balls signed by the Riverhounds players, club scarves and tickets to the team’s July 4 clash with the New York Red Bulls’ USL franchise at Highmark Stadium.
Each player in attendance will take a turn to assist the Skybar staff in serving drinks. Anthony Arena, Danny Earls and Stephen Okai are among the players scheduled to appear while club president Richard Nightingale will also be in attendance to meet and mingle with fans.
